Activities
There are people in our lives who are there by choice; they’re part of our lives because we want them there. Friends would be the most obvious example. There are also people who are a part of our lives by fate; those people are there because of conditions or circumstances beyond our control. Our co-workers would be one example; we don’t choose them to work with, someone else chose all of us to work together.
Neighbours would be another example.
Occasionally, one can evolve into the other. By working closely together, sometimes we find friendships develop with certain co-workers, friendships that flourish and grow over years or even decades. Relationships that were established through necessity develop into a familiar kinship of shared interests, values and beliefs that can last a lifetime and enrich our lives immeasurably.
The same applies with neighbours. When we move into a new community, we gradually become more familiar with the new people who have entered our lives. And we find ourselves relating to some particularly well. One of the key catalysts in facilitating this are the mutual experiences we share, the conversations we enjoy, and the activities we revel in.
The residents of Meneset on the Lake have benefitted from this for years. Amongst our several hundreds of homeowners, hundreds more friendships have developed, many through participation in the many activities and amenities available to them. And as the friendships grow, so, too, have the list of activities, as friends work together creating clubs, associations and events of mutual interest and enjoyment.
